Energy Efficiency

The premise of energy efficiency is to stop heat or cold transfer into a building, which reduces the amount of energy to condition the interior atmosphere of the home. The most energy efficient homes are airtight homes that rely on mechanical ventilation in extreme heat or cold conditions. There are different ways in which unwanted heat or cold can be transmitted into a building. One is through conduction of materials touching the exterior atmosphere and that energy is then transferred into the interior. Another way in which heat or cold is transferred into the interior is through small crevaces. To thwart air transfer into the home and to block transfer of heat, we use a closed cell polyurethane insulation spray foam.
